2PM‘s Taecyeon sent an apology to INFINITE fans on Twitter.
His apology referred to the tweet exchanges between him and singer G.NA that had left some fans confused.
G.NA posted on the 8th after ‘M! Countdown‘, “Though I didn’t receive 1st place tonight, I want to thank everyone who voted me as a candidate alongside Baek Ji Young sunbae and INFINITE sunbae.”
Taecyeon later tweeted, “It’s odd to me that the kids from INFINITE are sunbaes to you, nuna.” G.NA responded, “It’s probably because I’m older. U guys r like major sunbae’s man (sic).“
What seemed to ruffle the feathers of some INFINITE fans was the 2PM member’s next reply: “Major sunbae whatever. like i always say, we’re growing old together haha (sic).” The misunderstanding arose from his statement, “Major sunbae whatever,” as there were fans of INFINITE who felt that his comment was directed to their favorite group, along with not understanding the English portion (“like I always say, we’re growing old together haha”) of the tweet.
He later re-tweeted another post by an INFINITE fan: “INSPIRITS(INFINITE’s fan club), the major sunbaes referred to were 2PM, not INFINITE, please don’t misunderstand.”
Taecyeon also tweeted to clarify, “I think some of you misunderstood~ I think it’s good that we work it out like this~ INFINITE congratulations on your two year anniversary, and I will be more cautious so that misunderstandings won’t arise in the future.” With 2PM fans and INFINITE fans continuing to argue, he added, “Okay let’s stop~~ Because both oppas are precious ^^,” asking everyone to stop the bickering.
Netizens commented, “I wish INFINITE fans don’t misunderstand,” “I think it arose because of the part in English,” and “I hope both 2PM and INFINITE succeed.”
Earlier, SM Entertainment had announced that f(x) would be making their comeback this summer. It seems it’ll be sooner than expected, as it has been just reported that the popular girl group will be making their return to the music scene with a new mini album titled ‘Electric Shock‘ next week!
f(x) will be unveiling the new mini album worldwide on June 10th through Korean music portals as well as iTunes. This will mark their first new album since 2011′s hit ‘Hot Summer‘.
Starting on June 6th, the girls will be revealing various teaser images through outlets such as Facebook and their homepage over the course of five days, with what seems to be the first concept photo (below) revealed today.

Pledis Entertainment has revealed that After School‘s Kahi is “graduating” from the group.
The agency sent out two press releases today regarding Kahi’s departure leading to confusion. After the first statement was sent out, the agency was flooded with questions from the media as well as fans, and in the midst of the chaos, Pledis incorrectly responded that Kahi would be promoting solo but will not be leaving After School.
However, shortly after realizing the miscommunication, the agency issued out another statement confirming that Kahi is indeed leaving the group and apologized for the confusion created earlier.
After School debuted in 2009 with the concept that members would eventually “graduate” out of the group. Leader and member Kahi will become one of its graduates.
Kahi will participate in the group’s June 17th encore concert in Tokyo, and finish up remaining promotional activities in Japan, which end this September, before preparing as an official solo artist.
As After School’s Japanese tour concert will be her last as a group member, Kahi plans to hold special solo performances during the encore concert as a way to thank fans.
Kahi stated, “To all the After School fans who have given so much love and to my members who have cried, laughed, and suffered with me since we debuted, I thank you all so much.” It’s reported that she’s planning to prepare for her solo album and study acting. She added, “I’ll try my best so that you can see a new side of Kahi.”
Kahi was known as a female singer with excellent dancing skills even before she debuted with After School. She also recently stepped into thePosts acting world on KBS‘s ‘Dream High 2‘.
After School will be releasing their 5th mini-album on June 21 KST. New member Gaeun will also be making a debut with their comeback.
The June 5th broadcast of KBS‘ ‘Win Win‘ is a continuation of last week’s special episode featuring “Asia’s star”, BoA.
During filming, BoA spoke up about her special relationship with SM Entertainment founder and chairman, Lee Soo Man, who recruited her into the company and has been with her through her ups and downs.
BoA began by saying, “Ever since the agency was first founded, CEO Lee Soo Man and I have been through so much together, and we’ve also been through a lot when I made my debut in the international market. So, his affection towards me is out of the ordinary. I’m Lee Soo Man’s #1.”
She continued, “I call him Teacher Lee Soo Man in public, but when it’s just the two of us, I call him ‘Ssem’ (short for ‘teacher’) or ‘Soo Man Ajji’ (ajji is short for ‘ahjussi’). Kangta oppa and I are the only ones in the agency who can call him those things.”

Actress Park Bo Young revealed her long-time crush on Won Bin.
On the June 4th episode of MBC‘s ’Come To Play‘, Park Bo Young admitted, “Ever since I was young, I had a crush on Won Bin. I liked him since I was in middle school, and during every interview, I admitted that I was a fan.”
She said on the show that there was a moment when she was able to actually meet Won Bin in person. Park Bo Young detailed, “I unexpectedly met Won Bin at a campaign shoot, and I was surprised that he knew my name.” She added, “It was a [casual] place to just have a can of beer, but I was so surprised when he called my name that I wasn’t able to answer.”
The smitten actress left a video message for Won Bin saying: “Even my fans know of my obsession over Won Bin because I always talk about him. I received a life-size picture of Won Bin laying down looking at me so I hung it up in my room.”

SM Entertainment will be holding an IT exhibition, the S.M.ART EXHIBITION.
S.M.ART EXHIBITION will be held from August 10th to the 19th, a total of ten days at the COEX in Seoul, Samseong-dong. SM’s premium contents will be showcased in state-of-the-art digital technology. SM and global businesses have collaborated together to present the world’s first interactive entertainment exhibition, allowing visitors to enjoy and become emotional with its various features.
Most notably, the exhibit will showcase a 3D stereoscopic theater where visitors will be able to meet SM artists in front of them. In addition, there will be holographs of live performances, with high quality production and the scale of an exhibition. Visitors will also be able to experience the 360 degree camera that was used in ‘The Matrix‘. With a large screen, visitors will be able to make video calls and meet stars, making it different from regular digital entertainment exhibits. It is expected to be a great digital experience for both domestic and overseas fans.

Manchester United’s Park Ji Sung caught the attention of many viewers for selecting his ideal type as none other than Girls’ Generation‘s YoonA.
On the June 3rd episode of SBS‘ ‘Running Man‘, Park Ji Sung was given a secret spy mission of eliminating both ‘Running Man’ members and fellow guest, IU. The cast members and guests then visited Thailand for a survival mission race.
During the middle of the episode, Park Ji Sung was given the chance to make his debut as an emcee by momentarily replacing Yoo Jae Suk. He then participated in an ‘ideal type World Cup’, where he faced the tough decision of choosing between four girl groups: Girls’ Generation, miss A, Wonder Girls, and KARA.
For the first round, the soccer player picked Girls’ Generation over Wonder Girls and for the second, he selected miss A over KARA.
After much hesitation, Park Ji Sung ended up selecting Girls’ Generation over miss A for the final round.
HaHa was then prompted to ask, “Which member do you like the most in Girls’ Generation?” to which he replied, “This is hard. I really don’t think I can choose!” However, after much contemplation, Park Ji Sung selected YoonA.
He then sent a video message to the singer shyly saying, “YoonA, oppa is currently on a break so do you have time to meet up?”
KARA member Goo Hara‘s Twitter apology to INFINITE fans has been drawing attention.
After the airing of June 3rd’s ‘Inkigayo‘, many Inspirits were upset that there wasn’t an encore performance for the boys, as is custom for the winner of the episode. Goo Hara addressed this issue with a brief apology post on her personal Twitter.
The idol tweeted, “A day of mental break downs… INFINITE fans, there was nothing I could do because time was short. I’m sorry. ㅠㅠ. I’m really sorry! Congratulations to INFINITE again for winning first!!!”

The collaboration between Shinhwa and SHINee on jTBC‘s ‘Shinhwa Broadcast‘ brought about a positive synergistic effect.
AGB Nielson Media Research released the viewer ratings for the June 2nd episode of ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ featuring SHINee. This episode reached a viewer rating of 1.274%. Although this was not the highest viewer rating ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ has attained, it is still considered very good for a cable TV program. A few episodes ago, the program reached 1.371% in ratings. Regardless, this week’s show is still a 0.434% rise from last week.
Even before the airing of the episode featuring SHINee, the topic became a hot trending issue through SNS. The fans were excited about this episode because SHINee stopped all domestic activities in April, while Shinhwa stopped domestic activities in May.
On this episode of ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’, SHINee chose which Shinhwa member they would like to recruit into their group. They also competed against each other in games, whereby the winning group stole a member from the other group. Furthermore, SHINee members showed great interest and support in Shinhwa, causing the Shinhwa members to be very happy.

Super Junior has unveiled their first teaser off their upcoming 6th album!
In addition to the announcement of the group coming back on July 1st, the first teaser featuring member Eunhyuk has been revealed!
SM Entertainment stated, “Super Junior will be releasing their official 6th album ‘Sexy, Free & Single’ on July 1st at midnight on music sites like MelOn, Genie, and Naver Music.”
As reported previously, this comeback will also include member Kangin, who has been on a hiatus for a while.

Kangin has been revealed to be joining Super Junior for their comeback, which will reportedly be taking place next month!
According to information released by a few industry officials, Super Junior will be making their comeback early next month with their sixth album. Not only is it their first comeback in 11 months since their ‘Mr. Simple‘ release, but this album will also be including the return of Kangin.
On June 19th, SM Entertainment revealed to multiple Korean media outlets, “Kangin will be participating as a member of Super Junior starting from their 6th album, which will be released early July,” and “He is currently practicing hard with the upcoming comeback.”
Super Junior has an impressive track record with their fifth album alone, selling over 500,000 units according to Gaon Chart and topping every digital chart available. As such, expectations for their comeback this year remain high, and many are anticipating how hot they’ll burn up the summer with their upcoming hits.
One official stated, “Super Junior has nearly completed the production of their new album. They are done with the album jacket photoshoot.”
Another revealed, “Starting from the end of this month to the middle of next month, SISTAR, Super Junior, and 2NE1 will be making back to back comebacks. We’re looking ahead to a lot of competition.”

Actress Kim Hee Sun has been confirmed to appear on the 100th episode of SBS‘s ‘Running Man‘.
Last week, we reported that the actress was considering making an appearance on the popular variety program, but felt a bit hesitant due to her tight schedule for her upcoming drama. However, witnesses have already spotted the actress participating in filming with the other ‘Running Man’ cast members on June 18th.
Numerous photos were quickly uploaded onto various community boards and social networking sites (SNS) with posts titled, “Eyewitness account of Kim Hee Sun with ‘Running Man’“. The posts read along the lines of, “Kim Hee Sun was by the Han River with the cast members“, “She looks like a goddess in person“, “I saw them filming at Mapo-gu, Seoul“, “Kim Hee Sun and Yoo Jae Suk were walking side by side“.
The photos show the actress surrounded by the cast members and her name tag is visible, confirming her appearance for the upcoming episode. The other pictures that show Yoo Jae Suk looking sharp in an all-green suit and Song Ji Hyo in a short red dress piqued the curiosity of many as to what sort of race the program has in store for the upcoming 100th episode of the show.

After making headlines for over a week following Ji Hyun Woo‘s public confession, and a suspicious stroll through the park together, actress Yoo In Na finally admitted that she and Ji Hyun Woo have started dating.
On June 18th, Yoo In Na opened up her radio program KBS COOL FM ‘Yoon In Na’s Volume Up‘ by stating, “There is something I would like to say on ‘Volume’ today.”
“I knew that this would obviously affect my work, so I was extremely cautious,” she began. “Before thinking about the end result, I asked myself if this was the kind of love that I could attempt. If I wasn’t completely confident, then my work would have been that much harder, but I found that confidence.”
“I agonized over this for about ten days, and we decided to simply and purely respond to our hearts,” she continued. “Two days ago, I called Ji Hyun Woo who calmly waited for me through a very anxious situation, and while we were walking in the park, we decided that he will stop being ‘In Hyun’s Man’ and instead, start being ‘Yoo In Na’s Man’.”
Yoo In Na cautiously admitted their relationship and added, “I like him, I am confident. He gave me that confidence. I want to be in a beautiful relationship, more than anyone else.”
Actor Lee Tae Gon is receiving mixed reactions from viewers for his behavior towards the nation’s MC on ‘Running Man‘.
The latest episode of SBS‘s ‘Running Man’ featured actors Lim Ho and Lee Tae Gon as guests for a ‘King’s Race’ special as the two actors are well known for taking on the role of kings in various past works. The cast members split into three teams to carry out various missions across the city of Seoul.
With the opening of the show, netizens noticed Lee Tae Gon’s rather rash behavior towards his sunbae, Yoo Jae Suk. This included jokingly hitting, pushing, cutting him off, and pulling on his clothes even before the members embarked on the official “race” part of the show, which is usually when the hitting, shoving, and pulling start. Seeing Lee Tae Gon’s actions towards the MC, ‘Sparta Gook’ Kim Jong Kook even threatened jokingly during the beginning, asking, “Why are you hitting my hyung?”
After the show, some viewers expressed their uncomfortable feelings with the actor’s perhaps too carefree behavior towards his senior, Yoo Jae Suk. They commented, “It was uncomfortable watching him throughout the episode“, “How could he behave like that towards Yoo Jae Suk, who is five years older than him?“, and more.
However, other viewers disagreed, commenting, “Wasn’t he doing this because it’s a variety program?” and “It’s for entertainment purposes.”
The members of CNBLUE proved that they too are multi-talented idol stars.
Kang Minhyuk and Lee Jonghyun who have taken on acting roles in KBS 2TV‘s ‘You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly‘ and SBS ‘Gentlemen’s Class‘ have collectively reeled in 50% of viewer ratings.
According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, ‘You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly’ which aired on June 17th drew in a total of 36.2% viewer ratings, while ‘Gentlemen’s Class’ drew in 16.6%, together totaling 52.8%.
Both dramas happen to air on the weekend, making CNBLUE fans squeal in delight as they can monitor both series back to back.
Minhyuk plays the role of Cha Sae Kwang, the younger brother of Kim Nam Joo in ‘You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly’, effortlessly pulling off the ‘bad boy’ image. He also displays his sense of humor interacting with actor Kwak Dong Yeon, and shows his more romantic side as he acts alongside Oh Yeon Seo.
Kang Minhyuk made his small-screen debut with SBS ‘It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girl‘ and also took on a role in MBC‘s ‘Heartstrings‘. He is earning praise for his stable and natural acting abilities, especially in his current drama series.
Fellow group member Lee Jong Hyun who first tried his hand at acting through film ‘Acoustic‘ alongside Minhyuk has made his own small-screen debut through ‘Gentlemen’s Class’. Jonghyun plays the role of 19 year old Colin who crosses over to Korea to find his father.

TEEN TOP‘s Niel has broken SHINee member Minho‘s high jump record.
SHINee’s Minho who has been dubbed the ultimate athlete amongst his idol peers has previously set a new record by jumping 1.73 meters (5’8.1″) during the Men’s High Jump round of MBC‘s third annual ‘Idol Star Athletic Championships‘.
However, the members of TEEN TOP set out to try and break his record on a recent episode of SBS MTV‘s ‘War On Issues‘. Members Niel and Ricky both jumped 1.65 meters (5’5″) and 1.6 meters (5’3″) respectively at the 4th annual ‘Idol Star Athletic Championships’ and won the gold and silver medals.
The boys were eager to try and break Minho’s record, Niel reportedly even practiced high jumps at home, determined to become an ‘athletic idol’ just like Minho.
Though there was a lot of concern as to whether or not he could actually surpass Minho, Niel shocked everyone by effortlessly jumping an impressive 1.74 meters (5’8.5″), setting a brand new record.
