MBLAQ members reveal the celebrities they keep in touch with

 

 

Girls’ Generation recently drew interest for revealing the top celebrities they keep in touch with, and idol group MBLAQ‘s own social circles are also garnering new attention.

The members of MBLAQ previously filled out a ‘resume’ for Mnet‘s ‘Wide Entertainment News‘, and the things they wrote down by hand caused netizens to explode in laughter.

The members revealed their real names, wrote down what kind of assets they have to their name, some of the hilarious ‘concerns’ they had, and in which ways they thought they were superior to their fellow members.

G.O. felt that he was good looking and therefore had an advantage in the group, while his concern was also that he was a bit too good looking. Meanwhile, Mir hilariously wrote that he had an advantage over the members because he owned a lot of land, and Thunder‘s biggest concern was whether he should eat pork belly plain or to eat it with kimchi.

The boys also wrote down the names of top celebrities they were close with.

Seungho wrote that he was close with 2AM‘s Seulong and After School‘s NaNa, and under the ‘top star’ category, he scribbled the names of Rain & Se7en. G.O. wrote down 2PM‘s Junsu and 2AM’s Seulong, while also writing Rain in the ‘top star’ box. Lee Joon wrote that he kept in contact with Onew and Yonghwa, and sure enough, also wrote Rain under ‘top star’. Thunder played it safe by simply writing the number of celebrities he was close to, while Mir proved to be the socialite by writing numerous names such as Jinwoon, Key, Dongwoon, Nicole, NaNa, Jae Jin, Minho, Rain, Mighty Mouth, and hilariously, his sister Go Eun Ah.

Netizens who reviewed the boys’ ‘resume’ remarked, “They are all blood type A, interesting,” and “They have a wide circle of friends,” as well as “Mir has a lot of land?”

Mnet Media Awards 2011 released list nominees!

 

The awards will be held on December 18, 2011 at 6:00 PM KST. The show will last 4 hours and will be broadcasted live throughout 10 Asian countries and satellite broadcasted to 45 Asian counties.

This afternoon on United Asia Management office press conference to revealed the all nominees finally has been released, this year Mnet decided to split out category for performances and personality as celebrities.

Rain’s jam packed scheduled before enlisting in the army

 

Famous Hallyu star Rain will be enlisting in the Korean military on October 11th, but before then, he plans to personally reach out and communicate with his fans as much as he can.

On September 23rd, a representative from Rain’s agency stated through a phone interview, “He’s going to be extremely busy between now and the time he actually enlists. It looks like he won’t have any time off before then. He wants to meet with as many fans as possible.”

Rain will be performing a concert on the 24th at Seoul’s Olympic Hall and will also hold a free concert in the streets of Gangnam on October 9th.

His agency continued, “Other than his concert, he also has a few endorsement advertisements lined up, as well as filming for his movie ‘Emergency‘, and a few music recordings… He will not be able to attend the Busan Film Festival due to his jam-packed schedule.”

Rain had also initially scheduled a press conference in regards to his concert on the 24th, but that has been cancelled as he has too much on his plate for the short amount of time he has left.

The singer announced his enlistment via his official website and stated, “I’m not sure where I’ll be assigned to as an active duty soldier, but I should find out this afternoon. I have been able to accomplish so much, thanks to all of your love and support. I’ve been so blessed, thank you.”

Leessang marches ahead of the idols on another music chart

 

Amidst a sea of idols, Hip Hop Duo Leessang has emerged in the 2nd Half of 2011.

Online service representatives for Soribada stated that Turned off the TV…(Feat. Yoon Mi Rae, Kwon Jung Yeol)” took the top spot for the week of August 21-28, making it the second consecutive week to top Soribada’s music chart.

Aside from “Turned off the TV,” Leessang’s 7th album also has three other songs on the chart. In 5th place, “You’re the answer to a guy like me“, is about a man’s pain after a breakup, and also placed first on the real time chart.

Lessang’s “Remembrance (Feat. Baek Ji Young)”, about the sorrows of a man along with ”I Gave You Everything (Feat. Jung In)”, a song about a man who has fallen deeply in love, took the 9th and 16th spots respectively.

In addition, the competitors for this week were strong. SISTAR’s “So Cool” took second place, and In Sooni placed third.

Returning Diva G.NA’s second mini album, with its strong addictive melody and sophisticated sound had “Top Girl” in the 4th spot. Her other track, “Banana” (Feat. SWINGS, JC Jieun)” also placed 18th on the chart.

Showing the power of female fans Super Junior’s “Mr. Simple” took 6th, Rain’s “Busan Woman” 7th, Kim Tae Woo’s “Falling in Love” in 8th, and 10cm’s “Hug Me” placed 10th.

Rain wins his lawsuit against ‘Fugitive: Plan B’ production company

Earlier this year, singer Rain filed a lawsuit against the production company of his KBS drama, ‘Fugitive: Plan B’, for failing to pay him a sum of $396,000 USD for his work with the drama.

On August 7th, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of Rain. The justice department ordered the production company to immediately pay Rain the total sum, which was calculated according to his contract of $50,000 USD per episode.

The production company has revealed that they will not be appealing the decision and that they will make the payment as soon as funds are available.

Rain will begin his nationwide tour on August 13th before enlisting in the army at the end of the year.

Rain meets up with Hollywood star Richard Gere

It seems that Rain’s celebrity circle has been expanding recently, judging from a shot he posted that shows him posing with world-famous actor Richard Gere.

The star expressed his happiness on Twitter, saying, “So happy~ I can’t express it in words. There was a proposal for a big project so that’s why I met him. Please look forward to three years from now.”

Netizens were proud of their global star, as they wrote, “Rain God is working with Richard Gere? Amazing,” and “Definitely world star Rain.” “I can’t wait for the three years to pass.”

B2ST says “We think we’re now above MBLAQ”

 

B2ST’s members have expressed their feelings about their popularity compared to MBLAQ, who debuted around the same period.

The members of B2ST showed their sociable sides on the July 20th episode of MBC’s “Radio Star”.

Upon the question of comparing their popularity to that of MBLAQ, the members expressed their honest thoughts stating, “As of now, we seem to have the advantage”.

B2ST’s leader Doojoon honestly shared his thoughts stating, “In the beginning, we were way behind MBLAQ during our debut period. We felt pathetic compared to MBLAQ at the time, to the point where we even thought of finding something else to do for a living”.

Doojoon continued, “We also envied the ultimate backing that MBLAQ had from Rain“.

The members of B2ST ended with, “But when we’re not active, we think we’re below MBLAQ. I think the two teams are always competing with each other”, sharing their good intentions about the friendly competition between the two groups.
