Shindong to leave ‘Strong Heart’

Following the format changes and MC changes on SBS‘s ‘Strong Heart‘, it seems as though there will also be a slight change to the fixed cast members. Unfortunately, Super Junior‘s Shindong will be stepping down from his permanent guest position on the show.

On March 28th, SM Entertainment revealed to TV Report through a phone call, ”In order to showcase a different images, Shindong will no longer be participating on ‘Strong Heart’. However, Leeteuk and Eunhyuk will continue alongside Boom to show viewers a new image through the newly formatted ‘Strong Heart.’”

Shindong has actively participated in “Boom Academy” on the show with fellow member Leeteuk and Eunhyuk. Through his fixed role on ‘Strong Heart’, he has brought much laughter from viewers and has shown fans a fresh image. The singer is currently taking the role of MC on MBC‘s ‘Show Champion‘ and Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘.

Meanwhile, viewers will be able to see the new MC’s of ‘Strong Heart’, Shin Dong Yup and Lee Dong Wook, on April 10th.

Who is the #1 Male-Male celebrity couple?

An online portal site recently held a survey asking its participants, “Which male celebrities do you want to mix together?”

The couple voted as the male celebrities poll takers most wanted to mix together were actors Kim Soo Hyun and Jung Il Woo, who both starred in MBC‘s ‘The Moon that Embraces the Sun‘.

The young men dominated the voting process as the most favored ‘Male-Male couple’ by capturing 45% of the total votes. Following right behind were couples, Kang Dong Won and Won Bin while third place went to actors Yoo Ah In and Lee Jae Hoon who are currently filming SBS‘s ‘Fashion King‘, and ‘One Night Two Days‘s Lee Seung Gi and Lee Seo Jin came in last with 5%.  Lee Seo Jin once guested on KBS‘s ‘One Night Two Days’ and received much love for his heartwarming sunbae-hoobae relationship with Lee Seung Gi.

[Spoiler] “Fashion King” Lee Je-hoon and Yoo-ri get back together and kiss

 

Lee Je-hoon and Kwon Yoo-ri from drama “Fashion King” shared a deep kiss.

On the fourth episode of the SBS drama “Fashion King” on the 27th, Jeong Jae-hyeok (Lee Je-hoon) kissed ex-girlfriend Choi Anna (Kwon Yoo-ri).

Anna went to the home of her ex-boyfriend Jeong Jae-hyeok after being hurt by Michael Jay’s coldness. She wanted to accept Jeong Jae-hyeok’s scout offer. He welcomed her with a drink and she asked, “Do you have Soju? If not, give me something strong”.

After a few drinks, Anna asked, “Do you still love me” and Jae-hyeok responded with a deep kiss. Their kiss scene was dizzying. They continued to kiss until Sin Jeong-ah (Han Yoo-i) disturbed them.

Jeong Jae-hyeok asked for her to leave but seeing that she had a crush on him didn’t listen and went out with Jeong Jae-hyeok and Anna’s hand in hers. After seeing them kiss, Sin Jeong-ah screamed in frustration when she was alone.

[Spoiler] “Love Rain” irresolute Jang Geun-seok

 

Yoona‘s heart is aching because of Jang Geun-seok‘s irresolution of yielding love to his friend.

On the second episode of the KBS 2TV drama “Love Rain” on the 27th, Seo In-ha (Jang Geun-seok) pushed away Kim Yoon-hee (Yoona) with the words, “Don’t misunderstand” when she got wind of his crush on her.

In a previous festival In-ha answered “Yes” to Hye-jeong’s (Son Eun-seo) question, “Is the fact that you don’t draw figure paintings just so you can draw only the one you love when she appears still available?” On In-ha’s canvas wasn’t Hye-jeong but Yoon-hee. However, he gave up on her for his friend Dong-wook (Kim Si-hoo) who also had feelings for her and tried to hide the painting.

When Yoon-hee, who came into the room to eat, showed interest in the drawing, In-ha lied and said, “It’s Hye-jeong, she asked me to draw it so much” but it was obvious that it was Yoon-hee and he told her, “Don’t misunderstand”.

He continued, “It doesn’t mean anything. You just happened to be there in the scene I was drawing”. He didn’t want to be misunderstood by his best friend and she had no choice but to turn away from him. Dong-wook used this opportunity to romantically propose to Yoon-hee and she accepted it.

SHINee’s “Sherlock” appears on Billboard charts

 

 

The boys of SHINee made it on two Billboard charts this week with their latest EP “Sherlock“.

On March 27th, Billboard published their new weekly charts and SHINee’s “Sherlock” placed 10th on the Heatseekers Albums and 5th on the World Albums charts respectively.

2NE1′s CL was hurt by a comment made by Yang Hyun Suk

 

2NE1‘s CL recently shared a story about how she was hurt by CEO Yang Hyun Suk‘s words.

On the March 27th episode of SBS‘s ‘Strong Heart – YG Family Special‘, CL was asked if she had any negative feelings or was dissatisfied with CEO Yang Hyun Suk. The member replied,”I actually do. He keeps saying that I’m ugly,” she said, revealing an incident she once experienced.

“He bluntly tells me that I’m ugly. CEO Yang once visited us while we were rehearsing for our concert. I didn’t have any makeup on at that time and when he saw me, he told me ‘You’re very ugly’,” she explained.

She continued, “We were just rehearsing so none of us had makeup on, but after hearing those words, I was a little hurt by it.”

In addition, CL also revealed some knowledge on how she leads the group by saying that she uses her “ahjumma accent”. “Because there’s an age gap between the members, I try to brighten the atmosphere by using my ‘ahjumma accent’.”

Those are some harsh words from Papa YG, but he’s known for his tough love, and CL probably knows that as well!

[Interview] Beautiful Show in Jakarta Press Conference – BEAST’s Thoughts about Indonesia!

 

 

B2ST is really one of the current phenomenal boybands of Korea. Wherever they go in the world, whenever this group formed of Yoon Doo-Joon, Son Dong-Woon, Lee Gi-Kwang, Yang Yo-Seob, Jang Hyun-seung, Yong Jun-Hyung held their concerts, they always get a loud cheer.

The same applies to Indonesia. Since they landed at the airport and even held the press conference, B2uties (the name of B2ST’s fans) followed them everywhere. Some B2uties were lucky enough to see the idols up-close and took a picture of the idols when they were being interviewed by some medias.

After giving explanations about the concert to local medias, some media partners like KapanLagi.com® were given the opportunity to do an interview. Yet, unlike towards other Boyband or other Korean singers, questions could only be asked by the MC to the translator — after the aforementioned media partners gave their selected questions about B2ST. Because to them, calling the names of the idols are considered impolite.

 

 

• Hello, welcome to Indonesia. What is your thought about Hallyu (the term for the global spread of Korean pop culture in many countries in the world) being known worldwide?
  Doo-Joon : We are happy to have many fans. We are proud of being Koreans, and that many people love us.
• What do you want to achieve other than being a boyband?
  Gi-kwang : Even though it’s only a shortwhile, there are many benefits (of being a boyband). We have tried all but the most important is to have a concert, because (through the concert) we can communicate with the fans.
• Which movement (of yours) that makes your fans go hysterical (go crazy)?
  Yo-Seob  : Most important is, many of our fans love to see us standing. We haven’t do anything yet and they are already hysterical (already screaming). Like, we just went on the stage and they’re already hysterical.
• Among you, whose style changed the most?
  Dong-woon : Each of us became handsome because we got richer, hahaha.
• How does it feels to be a leader?
  Doo-Joon : There are no particular difficulties on being a leader,  but what’s hard is the tiredness. Yet, when I got on the stage, I became happy again.
• If you don’t have any schedule, what are you guys doing?
  Dong-Woon : In Korea, we like to do sports together. For example, playing basketball until we reach 100 shoots, or playing tennis. Each of us are maintaining our health when we have no schedules.
• What do you usually do before going on to the stage?
  Doo-Joon : On concerts, we always say ‘fighting’ in unison before going up to the stage.
• What are your abilities instead of singing?
  
  
  Hyun-Seung: I am an expert in football. I am also good at surfing, while Jun-Hyung is good at ice-skating because he has been skating ever since (his) elementary school days.
• What makes your style different from others?
  Jun-Hyung : There are nothing that distinguishes us, but we are trying to be passionate with our style.
• What kind of clothes that makes you confident?
  Yo-Seob : Whenever there is an important and large-scaled event, I must use a sexy underwear. Everyday, I choose which underwear is good.
• What do you do together when you got free times?
  Doo-Joon : Usually, when we are free we will go to eat or do shopping together. Because our schedule in Indonesia is packed, we can’t really go for a walk.
• Any recommendation for a place to visit in Korea? (for entertainment purposes)
  Gi-Kwang : In my opinion, the most popular is Jeju Island, because it is the best place.
• What kind of boyband would B2ST like to be known as?
  Doo-Joon : We want (to last) forever, and we want to be remembered by our fans until we (B2ST and fans) grow old—as a memory to them.
• What is your impression about Indonesia?
  Dong-Woon : When we first landed, it was really hot. But Indonesian fans are hotter because they like us.
• Your recent album, FICTION AND FACT, was successful that it made you receive the Bonsang Award on Seoul Music Award and Daesang Award on Melon Music Award last year. What is the secret behind your success and how do you feel about it?
  Dong-Woon : Like other artists, we want to be the winner too. The key is to give it your best and to get a good impression from the fans.
• Have you learned Indonesian language? Please show us.
  Dong-Woon : Terima kasih, apa kabar, apa nama kamu?

(note : What Dongwoon said  is Indonesian language for ‘Thank you, how do you do, and what is your name?’ – but Dongwoon made a little mistake here. He should be saying ‘siapa’ nama kamu instead of ‘apa’, because ‘siapa’ refers to human names while ‘apa’ refers to object names.)

Cha Ye-ryeon shingles and complications

 

Actress Cha Ye-ryeon‘s shingles put on the red light in her work.

Her agency revealed on the 27th, “Cha Ye-ryeon‘s shingles have caused rashes and complications that resulted in ophthalmic nerve infections”.

She had been busy with advertisements, photo shoots and music videos. However, her shingles have caused her to take a break from work with the April movie shoot coming up over seas.

It seems that she is in need to complete rest from a week to three.

Cha Ye-ryeon is currently on break and she will join work again once she is better.
